This past year was definitely one for the books. I’m a super sentimental person, so I love looking back and seeing the year as a whole. I thought it would be fun to look back at 2017 and the highlights of the year!
Finding out in January we were having a baby boy. I was seriously so over the moon excited! It was so much fun to start decorating the nursery and buying baby boy clothes.
Our first nephew was born in May. I’m so excited for Camden to grow up with a cousin so close in age! It has been so fun to see them already, so I can’t even imagine what it will be like when they’re older! Oh the trouble…
June 3rd Camden decided to make his arrival. Hands down one of the best days of my life! I honestly am so in love with this little human, and I love being a boy mom!
We went on our first “vacation” as a family. And by vacation I mean a mini weekend with my family to the Omaha Zoo. I know Camden will have absolutely no memory of it, but it was still so much fun.
We celebrated our third wedding anniversary in July. I honestly don’t know how it has already been three years, but they have been the best three years of my life.
Ryan got his first head coaching job. He has been dreaming of this for so long, it was so amazing to see him finally get his opportunity. It comes with a lot of sacrifice and late nights, but I am so proud of him!
Camden’s first 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We spent the 4th at my parents lounging by the pool, Camden dressed up as a narwhal for Halloween, we ate way too much food at Thanksgiving, and we unexpectedly had a quiet Christmas at home thanks to the stomach flu hitting our house. Holiday’s are so much more fun with him – even if we’re sick.
There were so many other amazing things in 2017 with weddings, birthdays, and just little family moments. The photos are in chronological order, it’s so crazy to see how much Camden has grown in the past 7 months!
Overall, our year was definitely incredible. It seems so quiet compared to previous years, this is the first in 6 years we haven’t had a big trip or vacation, but oh I wouldn’t trade it for anything. We are on a new kind of adventure! We had our “lows” as well, with the time demanded by Ryan’s new responsibilities and adjusting to life with a baby, but looking back I wouldn’t change anything. 2017 was full of firsts and fun family memories, and I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store!
